This technique dates back to the 18th century and the finger bowl's final look is the result of many hours of highly skilled work.

Clays are prepared slowly for no more than 3 to 4 bowls at a time. Once moulded in their respective shapes, the clay is thinned by scraping, sanded at length before two rounds of firing with a transparent glaze. When complete, the results are these remarkable wonders of earth and fire.
